Program Notes
Michael Sweeney has expertly adapted the second movement from Percy Grainger’s masterwork Lincolnshire Posy for the younger musician. This edition uses a lower key for range considerations, yet still retains all of the charm and beauty of the original. This piece is a terrific opportunity to instill an appreciation of Grainger in young players.
