Program Notes

This 1960s hit police show is perhaps best known for its iconic theme tune. Composed by Morton Stevens, the theme from Hawaii Five-O has gained popularity in all areas, from high school bands to dance floors of the 1970s; the music now forms the unofficial fight song of the University of Hawaii. This arrangement captures all the excitement from the music for wind band in a reasonably short but very dynamic setting.
