Program Notes

Written entirely in 4/4 and using a single tempo throughout, Richard has created a work for young players that features logical pacing and variety along with a keen sense of rhythmic momentum. Using a recurring interlude for percussion and bluesy elements in the melody, this is effective as a concert piece and also just plain fun to play.
