Program Notes
Written to depict the extreme energy of one of the world’s largest train stations at rush hour, this piece is reminiscent of other New York-inspired works George Washington Bridge and West Side Story. Mixed meters and poly-tonal chords add to the intense feel and drive of Grand Central Station.
