Program Notes

Golden Bear March brings to mind many of the remembrances one might associate with the circus. Influences from Richard’s circus experiences are clearly present in this march. Written in 6/8 meter, this march contains wonderful dynamic contrasts, modulations, and varying orchestration. It is written in the keys of F and Bb major.
