Program Notes

Here is a classic march from Harold Bennett (pseudonym of Henry Fillmore), which is part of the famous Bennett Band Books. This piece will serve as an excellent introductory march to teach this important and historically significant style to young band musicians. Genius contains distinctive Henry Fillmore melodies that are truly memorable.

- Program Note from publisher

Genius is typical of the easy marches written by Fillmore. This march was part of a very popular Bennett Band Book series, which at one time consisted of four volumes. Larry Clark has arranged a number of Fillmore's marches for contemporary young band.
