Program Notes
Ernesto Nazareth (1863-1934) was very famous in Brazil. He was very much influenced by European romance. Nazareth composer a large number of chôros (a fusion of popular music style from Europe and Africa). This Garôto is a catchy and lively little piece, truly a Brazilian gem.
