Gaius Lee

Biography

Gaius Lee (b. 1995) is a Singaporean composer and student.

Mr. Lee is currently [2018] studying at Wheaton College, Ill., with a scholarship from the National Arts Council (Singapore). At Wheaton, Gaius is pursuing a double degree in music composition and music history and literature. Most of his works draw influence from East Asian and South East Asian cultures, syncretizing them with Western vocabulary. His other interests include ethonomusicology and conducting, and he hopes to do musicological work about his home country in the future.
