Program Notes

Commissioned by the Northeast Oklahoma Band Director's Association in 2007, Full Tilt is filled with a rhythmic energy that will motivate and challenge even the most experienced players. With plenty of mixed meter and syncopation throughout, it is my hope that the piece will provide a thrill ride of sorts for performers and audience members alike.

Full Tilt offers plenty of opportunities to show off a variety of instrument colors as well as the woodwind and brass choirs. Take the time to balance out (and clarify) these moments and your woodwind and brass sections will shine.

My thanks to the wonderful teachers who make up the Northeast Oklahoma Band Director's Association for their support throughout the project. I hope you enjoy Full Tilt.
