Program Notes

Foundation is a true tour-de-force for the modern symphonic band that incorporates the hymn Be Still, My Soul (better known as Finlandia by Jean Sibelius). The traditional American hymn How Firm a Foundation is also woven into the work to create a masterful and powerful composition that is destined to become standard of the band repertoire.
