Program Notes

The climactic theme from Saint Saen's Third Symphony serves as the primary thematic material for this amazing arrangement. The main theme is first presented in a fanfare which gives way to an off-kilter waltz. The ensemble then explodes into a raucous galop before displaying a more pensive mood featuring the low voices in a lyrical statement. The piece then builds to an explosive and triumphant conclusion.
