Richard Strauss' Fanfare from Stadt Wein is a shortened work taken from the highlights of his larger work, Festmusik der Stadt Wein ("Stadt Wein" translates to "City of Vienna".)This work was originally dedicated to Vienna and was scored for ten trumpets, seven trombones, two tubas and timpani.
