Program Notes

Fanfare for the Uncommon Woman, No. 3, was commissioned Carnegie Hall Corporation. The premiere performance was on May 5, 1991, with the Empire Brass Quintet and members of the New York Philharmonic, Zubin Mehta, conductor. It is dedicated to Frances Richard, director of concert music at ASCAP.
