Program Notes

Written to utilize the many possibilities of the tambourine, John Alfieri's Fanfare for Tambourines is a treat for both the ears and eyes. It is scored for six players, and requires each player to use a wide range performance techniques. The result is a surprising variety of sounds and visual effects.
