Program Notes

Another great composition for young bands by James Swearingen. Exciting yet playable rhythms combined with memorable melodies make this that piece sounds more difficult than it is.

Fanfare and Jubilee is dedicated to the 3rd Annual Winds and Percussion Camp held at Capital University, Columbus, Ohio, Angela Davoll, James Dowdy, Nancy Youse, James Swearingen, conductors. The premiere performance of this work took place on June 21, 2002.
