Program Notes

In honor of a retiring band director who instilled the benefit of hard work into his students, "pride" is the principal motive of Fanfare Jubilee. I devised a recurring melodic theme using pitches for the letters P-R-I-D-E (C, D, F, C, C#), and used odd and mixed meters to commemorate the hundreds of students who learned to march in 7/8 time!

Dedicated to Kenneth M. Snoeck by his present and former students and by the Lake Park High School Band Boosters Association.
