Program Notes

Eternal Light is a piece telling the oldest story of them all, that of good versus evil. The saxophones take the lead voice telling their tales of peace throughout the composition, whilst the brass are the forces of evil. The work opens with an extended passage for the saxophones, before the brass driven edgy music enters. They battle throughout the piece, before eventually the saxophones win the day, and good defeats evil in the peaceful conclusion.
