Program Notes

Elgar's most famous piece for orchestra. Here is the theme and 10 of the variations (including the famous Nimrod) arranged for wind dectet (double wind quintet) and an optional bass line- either tuba/double bass or contra bassoon.

I have chosen those variations which suit the wind ensemble. Some variations are easier than others, but are all worth the challenge!

This arrangement does NOT include the Finale.
