Program Notes

The world-changing events in the Middle East were the inspiration for Egypt the Awakening. The music is meant to depict the struggle of an emerging democracy.

A special thanks to Dave Terrall, Chris Crummel and the Foster High School Band for their original recording of the work as well as Matthew Boozer for his help with the initial editing. Most of all thanks to ATSSB and TRN for giving those of us who love to write a chance to be heard outside of our own auditoriums.
