Program Notes

This commissioned work was written in celebration of the career of an administrator who was a staunch supporter of music, an individual known for being highly energetic and always on the move throughout the school. The piece conveys these characteristics throughout with cheerful and rhythmically intense full-ensemble passages, busy melodic motives that bounce around the ensemble, rhythmic variety, numerous and somewhat unpredictable contrasts of dynamics and texture, and a brisk tempo.

- Program Note from publisher

Commissioned by the Kingsley Junior High School PTO and Music Department, Normal, Ill., Kathy Vermillion, Chris Golick, and Becky Meadows, Directors, in honor of Dr. Lynette Mehll and her service to the Unit 5 School District.
