Dino Nugent is a Brazilian composer and conductor.
Mr. Nugent graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (Brazil) in composition and orchestral conducting, for which he received an honorable mention for his academic accomplishments. As a Fulbright scholar, he earned a master's degree in jazz studies at Rutgers University.
Nugent has conducted the Minas Gerais Orchestra in numerous concerts, as well as oratorios, opera and ballet, as well as a guest conductor of orchestras in Venezuela, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay and Panama.
As a composer, he has created music for the concert stage as well as for ballet, film and broadcast advertisements. As an educator he has taught in the aforementioned Minas Gerais University, and in the National University of Panama, the Northern University of Panama, the National Institute of Music and the Specialized University of the Americas.
Nugent is currently director of the National Network of Orchestras and Youth Choirs in Panama.
