David Samuel
Biography
David Samuel (b. Pensacola, Fla.) is an American educator, pianist and composer.
Mr. Samuel. received his bachelor’s degree in music education at Troy University. After graduation, David continued his education at Troy where he obtained his master’s degree in the science of education.
Samuel is currently [2021] the director of bands at Foley High School in Foley, Alabama. Prior to his time at Foley High School, Mr. Samuel served six years teaching in Escambia County, Florida.
David has composed and arranged music for concert bands jazz bands, and marching bands around the Southeast and is a multi-award-winning writer for his music on JW Pepper. In addition to his composing and arranging, David enjoys performing live as a jazz pianist.
He is a member of the Alabama Music Educators’ Association, Alabama Education Association, National Association for Music Education, and the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers.
