Biography
David Reed (b. 1948) is a graduate of the University of Michigan, where he was a percussionist in the symphony band and marching band, under conductor William Revelli.
After completing his undergraduate work, David Reed served as a member of the United States Military Academy Band at West Point, where he performed with the concert band and the Hellcats drum and bugle corps. He then taught middle school and high school band in his hometown of Birch Run, Michigan, for 31 years. As a composer, he writes for band and chamber ensembles.
