Program Notes

This somewhat dark and edgy concert march is written in a minor mode. The militaristic first half of the march is in stark contrast to the lyrical trio. Besides being an expertly-written easy concert march, Darklands March can serve as an excellent work for teaching march style, dotted eighth/sixteenth note rhythms, and motivic development.
