Program Notes

Written as a tribute to Frank Erickson, this composition harkens to the Erickson sound with alternating woodwind and brass passages, as well as hemiolas and a harmonic language that gave Erickson's music a Renaissance flavor. After the dance-like themes are developed, a broad statement concludes the work with a dignified air.

- Program Note from publisher

In tribute to Frank Erickson (1923-1996).
