Program Notes

Inspired by the folk dance settings of the great composers, James Curnow's Dance Episodes is based on his own original melody that leaps and bounds with agility and spirit! This unique piece combines a European-style folk melody with the rhythmic drive and energy of folk dances to present a set of continuous contrasting variations.
