Program Notes

Take a trip down the "Niagara of the South" to Cumberland Falls in Kentucky with this beautiful work. The music builds as the river flows faster and stronger toward the falls. Several strains of Appalachian Spring are heard throughout, including an exhilarating incorporation of Simple Gifts. The powerful ending depicts the strength and might of one of nature's most amazing creations.
