Program Notes

A couple of years I caught Eric Hewitt conducting Kurt Weill's Concerto, opus 12 for violin and wind orchestra, plus 4 double basses. Markus Placci was the soloist. I was so impressed by the work that I told Eric and Markus I want to write a similar work for them.

The end result is my Concertino per Violino e Sedici Strumenti (2017).
