Program Notes

The Concertino for Clarinet and Band was written for the International Clarinet Association and was premiered at the CLARINETFEST 1999 in Ostend, Belgium, with soloist Robert Walzel, at that time professor of clarinet at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. Walzel was accompanied by the Band of the Belgian Guides.

The Concertino is written in three continuous sections marked Allegretto, Andante, and Allegro.
