Colin Holter
Biography
Colin Holter (b. 22 May 1983, Frederick, Mary.) is a composer, collaborator, administrator, and occasional writer on music based in Cleveland.
Dr. Holter holds degrees in composition from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (BA summa cum laude), the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (MMus), Brunel University London (MPhil), and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities (PhD).
Holter became the executive director of the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestra in 2019. Prior to that he taught at Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota.
Dr. Holter is active as a composer of concert and electroacoustic music, a collaborator with theatre and dance artists, and an occasional writer on music. He also serves as the Managing Editor for 113 Composers Collective (St. Paul, Minn).
