Program Notes

Place your bets on this delightful gem. It's a brisk, light polka for the race track composed by the youngest son of Johann Strauss. While eldest son Johann Jr. became the most famous composer of the family, Eduard was reputed to be the most famous conductor of the family. Alfred Reed, with this transcription, has created a light encore piece.
