Program Notes

Christmas at the Circus is a collage of Christmas music and music typically associated with the American circus. The melodies have been fused and woven together in many clever ways to provide surprises and humor to your students and your audience. Through this piece, you will hear the familiar songs Joy to the World, Jingle Bells, Silent Night, Angels We Have Heard on High, Carol of the Bells, Jolly Old St. Nicholas, Deck the Halls and The Hallelujah Chorus, mixed with Thunder and Blazes by Julius Fučík and The Daring Young Man on the Flying Trapeze by Lyle, Lee and Leybourne.
