Program Notes

Celebration was written for and dedicated to a promising young musician and leader whose life was needlessly taken by a drunk driver. To capture the spirit of this fine young person, Curnow uses excerpts from the Saint-Saëns Organ Symphony in three contrasting variations. An imaginative piece that is inspirational for both players and audiences alike.
