These songs come from Canzoni per Sonare, 1608, a collection of 36 short works by Gabrieli, Girolamo Frescobaldi, and others. The first four and the 27th and 28th are by Gabrieli.
Canzon 27 is subtitled Fa sol la re, and bears the Charteris catalog number 190. Canzon 28 is subtitled Sol sol la sol fa mi, and bears the catalog number 191.
