Program Notes

I composed Cantate Domino, originally scored for chorus, brass quintet and organ, for a national composition competition that celebrated the sesquicentennial of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Chicago. Winning that competition, it was premiered in Chicago in October 1993 and was subsequently published by Paraclete Press in 1996. This transcription of Cantate Domino, for chorus and wind ensemble, was created especially for the University of Houston Moores School Wind Ensemble TMEA concert by one of its illustrious alumni, Justin Langham.
