Bruce Fraser (b. 1947, India) is a Scottish composer.

Fraser was raised in Scotland. After attending the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and a short spell at Guildhall, he took a position with the Telfis Eireann Symphony Orchestra in Dublin. He then settled back in Scotland as an instrumental teacher and freelance trombone player, working with the Scottish Opera, the Scottich Chamber Orchestra, the Scottish Ballet and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra.

He began writing seriously in the seventies for school combinations and soon was in demand to write commissions for various groups, professional and amateur. As a teacher himself, he well understands the music educator's needs and is also active as a conductor with a brass band, wind band and a large choral society. He is also involved with the British Association of Symphonic Bands and Wind Ensembles, and is a consultant to the National School Band Association.
