Brian Sadler

Biography

Brian Sadler (b. 3 December 1982, Bethesda, Md.) is an American composer and trombonist.

After graduating high school, Brian enlisted in the U.S. Navy for five years as a musician. After tours in the U.S. and Europe, he enrolled at Arizona State University, before returning to the Navy. He is currently stationed at the 7th Fleet Band in Yokosuka, Japan and plays in the jazz band, Dixieland band, and brass quintet. Brian also writes and arranges music for all of those ensembles.

Brian has written music for a variety of independent and student films and continues to build his filmography. Brian placed second in the 2008 Humboldt State University Brass Chamber Music Workshop Composition Contest, was the winner of the 2008-2009 Dallas Wind Symphony Brass Fanfare Competition, and won the "Excellence in Composition Award" by the 2008 International Brass Music Festival. Following his work for Maker Vs Marker he was featured on Public Radio International's "The World" radio show. Brian still writes a lot for various animations and films on YouTube and is currently commissioned by the Harrisburg Symphony Orchestra to composed a concerto for tuba and orchestra featuring tubist Eric Henry.
