Bilin Zheng

Biography

Bilin Zheng (b. 1993) is a Chinese composer living in the United States.

Ms. Zheng graduated from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee with a master's degree and a professional study certificate, where she studied with Jonathan Bailey Holland and Eun Young Lee. Previously she studied at the Xinghai Conservatory of Music in Guangzhou, China.

Bilin explores different styles in her music and utilizes materials like Chinese folk songs in her compositions, based on her interest in ethnomusicological research. Her compositions range is size from full orchestra to solo works, Chinese and Western instruments, and vocal music.

She’s the winner of Collage Composers Colloquium in 2019 and the Boston Conservatory Wind Ensemble Competition in 2018.

Ms. Zheng runs a private music studio studio in Brockton, Mass.
