Ben Aldridge
Biography
Ben Aldridge is an American trumpeter, composer and educator.
Mr. Aldridge hold a BA in music from Yale University (1972) and an MA in trumpet performance, also from Yale (1975).
Ben Aldridge is an active performer in addition to his teaching work, and currently holds positions in the Glimmerglass Opera Orchestra, The Binghamton Philharmonic, The Catskill Brass, The Northeast Pennsylvania Philharmonic and the Catskill Symphony. He is a charter member of the International Trumpet Guild and a Life Member of the American Federation of Musicians.
Mr. Aldridge has been a lecturer at SUNY Oneonta since 2000 where he teaches music appreciation of brass courses. He enjoys transcribing and arranging music for the ensembles he conducts at SUNY-Oneonta.
