Program Notes

A brilliant concert/festival opener for the beginning band, "Bells!" is a bold statement that uses only the first octave of range introduced in most band method books. Composer Robert W. Smith has expanded the keyboard percussion parts to feature your entire percussion section in a most effective way. The flowing melodic lines that contrast the dramatic fanfare figures enhance the educational content making this a very rewarding experience for all.

Bells! was written for the Saint James School Beginning Band of Montgomery, Alabama.
