Program Notes

Beep Beep! was composed to provide a bit of light-hearted musical fun. The insistent beeping of the clarinets and alto saxophones interrupts and complements a joyful opening melody, which in turn leads to a contrasting section featuring just a hint of ragtime rhythm, all of which set over a relaxed and swinging groove. A sprinkling of humorous vaudeville effects in the percussion adds to the fun.
