Program Notes
Beachfront Strut is all fun and games. Really! I want the band and the audience to have a good time and enjoy themselves. The piece is based on a New Orleans “street beat” and features a lot of rhythmic drive and energy. The soloists that are featured are optional, although I am glad that Ms. Bain optioned us in! After the solos, there are short features for each section in the band so everyone gets a chance to shine.
