Program Notes

Baskerville is inspired by imagined scenes from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes novel The Hound of the Baskervilles, specifically the setting of the moors. During much of the story, Holmes is investigating and hiding out alone on the moors surrounding Baskerville Hall. Sherlock runs his investigation in the shadows, but perhaps has a few moments of anxiety as he discovers the true nature of the spectral hound.
