Program Notes
Based on a lullaby that an Apache mother sings to her child, this lyric piece is a series of variations on this beautiful melody. Different sections of the ensemble are featured in each variation, with counterpoint introduced to the young musicians in a natural and attractive setting that brings the tranquility, mystery and heroism of Native American culture to life.
