Biography

Antonio Carlos Neves Campos (b. 1940, Tatui, Sâo Paulo, Brazil) is a Brazilian composer, conductor, pianist and administrator.

Neves Campos graduated from the Tatui Conservatory with a major in piano in 1964. In 1966, he won the regional piano contest in Messena, New York, and also concluded his basic studies at Potsdam College in New York.

Neves Campos has been director of the Tatui Conservatory since 1984. He has worked as a conductor and arranger for a number of professional artists, wind bands, and orchestras. He was general coordinator of the Dr. Luis Arrobas Martins Winter Festival, the traditional Campos do Jordano Winter Festival. He also created a program to promote bands, Pro Bandas, developed by the state culture office that supports wind bands and fanfare bands in Sao Paulo State.
