Program Notes

Fans of David Shaffer will welcome this sparkling work. The opening bell-tones by the brass and brilliant woodwind figures create an electric atmosphere to introduce the work. A broad and majestic middle section makes an appealing contrast before closing with a high-energy dash to the finish.
