Program Notes
Originally for piano and following the dominant aesthetics of Central European Romantic music (in the purest Chopin style), this score plunges us into the exacerbated lyricism and expressiveness, but with the balance of the work of a composer, Cantó, who was a pupil of Tomás Bretón, who conducted the premiere of the orchestral version in 1884.
