Program Notes

This beautifully constructed tone poem features a memorable lyric melody stated first by the horns and clarinets and later by a trumpet duet accompanied by the brass section. A nice blend of lighter textures is used as the woodwinds alternate the melody with sections of the ensemble. This touching composition is carefully paced and masterfully scored.

- Program Note from publisher

Commissioned by the Dothan, Alabama, High School Band, Steve McLendon and Marcie Ciccierski, directors, and dedicated to the memory of D.H.S. Band member Wesley Dunchof.
