Program Notes
This beautiful arrangement of Amazing Grace for concert band, written by a former Army bandsman and Iraq war veteran, is dedicated to a comrade who took his own life shortly after returning home from deployment. Simple enough for young bands, yet mature enough for a professional group's program, this contemporary setting is intensely emotional and includes a sounding of Taps, making it ideal for Memorial Day or any other type of remembrance ceremony.
