Biography

Gerald Sebesky received his bachelor's and master's degrees from the Manhattan School of Music and a M.A. degree from Columbia University. Besides teaching from grade school through the university level he is widely known as a composer, conductor, author, and lecturer throughout the United States, Canada and England. He has written over 350 publications for concert band, stage band, orchestra and chorus and authored The Creative Music Theory Handbook.
